Tulip Shaped Ceramic Cup and Saucer – Pink Flower with Green Leaf Plate

Tulip Shaped Ceramic Cup and Saucer – Pink Flower with Green Leaf Plate

This cup does not just hold tea. It is shaped like a tulip. The body swells outward in soft petal curves, the rim scallops gently like the top of a flower opening, and the handle is glazed in green to suggest the stem. Flip it upside down and the silhouette reads as a bloom. It is one of those pieces that makes people pick it up and look at the bottom.

The saucer follows the same logic. It is leaf-shaped rather than round, glazed in a matching pale green with a subtle vein pattern pressed into the surface. The cup nests into a shallow depression in the centre of the leaf, holding it steady without a visible ring mark.

Dimensions and Use

The cup holds about 180 ml, which is smaller than a standard mug but right for a proper cup of tea, espresso, or a short pour of green tea. The petal shape means the rim is not perfectly even, so sipping from any side gives a slightly different lip feel. The handle is small but functional, with enough clearance for one or two fingers.

What It Is Not

This is not a daily workhorse mug. It is a display piece that also functions as a cup. The scalloped rim and flower shape make it fragile at the edges compared to a straight-walled mug, so it works best for special-occasion use, styled shelf display, or as a gift for someone who collects unique ceramics.

Gift Pairing

Wrap with a floral tea towel and a tin of Darjeeling. The tulip shape and leaf saucer make it one of those gifts that does not need a gift tag to explain itself.
