Gingham Check Ceramic Mug with Flower Handle – Cottagecore Coffee Cup

Gingham Check Ceramic Mug with Flower Handle – Cottagecore Coffee Cup

Gingham on ceramic is an unexpected combination, and it works. This mug takes the classic check pattern and wraps it around a softly squared body in pastel tones. The handle curves down into a sculpted flower bud with a contrasting centre, turning a functional grip into a small decorative detail.

The squared shape is not sharp-edged. The corners are rounded enough to sit comfortably in your palm, and the interior is a full-colour glaze that matches the check colour. Pink gingham with a pink interior, green with green, blue with blue. The exterior checks are painted against a cream base with a glossy clear coat over the top.

Construction

The body is slip-cast ceramic with hand-applied gingham detailing. The flower bud on each handle is individually sculpted and attached before the final glaze firing, making every piece slightly unique. Capacity sits around 280 ml, sized right for a standard pour of filter coffee or masala chai.

Colour Palette

Pink gingham reads warm and vintage. Green gingham feels fresh and kitchen-garden. Blue gingham is the most neutral and blends into most shelf collections without pulling attention. All three look good displayed together or mixed with solid-colour ceramics.

Care

Hand wash to preserve the painted gingham detail. The sculpted flower is solid and does not chip easily, but avoid stacking mugs directly on top of each other where the bud could press against another surface.
